December 2015 BookCase.Club Unboxing!

Hey guys!

First unboxing of the month! Yay!

This box is BookCase.Club. It is a monthly subscription box for $9.99/month plus shipping, and each case will contain a selection of handpicked books based on your preferences. Each case will contain two books.

For your subscription, you can choose from a list of categories which are:

  •  Blind Date Case: Paranormal Romance
  • Strange Worlds Case: Sci-Fi/Fantasy
  • Teenage Dreams Case: Young Adult
  • Thrill Seeker Case: Mystery/Thriller
  • Read to Me Case: Children’s Picture Books
  • Booking for Love Case: Romance

For my case, I chose Teenage Dreams! So, below I will show what I got. I did purchase this subscriptions myself, and all opinions are mine. Here we go!

First look!

As I always mentions, I love that they include hand-written notes in each box.

They have also updated their little program, so this is a nice addition also!

The first book that came this month is Etiquette & Espionage by Gail Carriger (Finishing School, #1)

Summary:
Fourteen-year-old Sophronia is a great trial to her poor mother. Sophronia is more interested in dismantling clocks and climbing trees than in proper manners – and the family can only hope that company never sees her atrocious curtsy. Mrs. Temminnick is desperate for her daughter to become a proper lady. So she enrolls Sophronia in Mademoiselle Geraldine’s Finishing Academy for Young Ladies of Quality.
But Sophronia soon realizes the school is not quite what her mother might have hoped. At Mademoiselle Geraldine’s, young ladies learn to finish…everything. Certainly, they learn the fine arts of dance, dress, and etiquette, but they also learn to deal out death, diversion, and espionage – in the politest possible ways, of course. Sophronia and ger friends are in for a rousing first year’s education.

Thoughts: This sounds interesting. I know that the last book in the four book series just came out, so this was pretty good timing. Haha. I don’t know that I would have picked this up myself, but if this one is good, I’ll finish out the series!

Value: $17.99

The second book I got this month is Altered by Jennifer Rush (Altered, #1)

Summary:
I wasn’t allowed in the lab. But that didn’t stop me from sneaking down there.

Everything about Anna’s life is a secret. Her father works for the Branch, at the helm of his latest project: monitoring and administering treatments to the four genetically altered boys in the lab below their farmhouse. There’s Nick, solemn and brooding; Cas, light-hearted and playful; Trev, smart and caring; and Sam… who’s stolen Anna’s heart.
When the Branch decides it’s time to take the boys, Sam stages an escape. Anna’s father pushes her to go with them, making Sam promise to keep her away from the Branch, at all costs.
On the run, with her father’s warning in her head, Anna begins to doubt everything she thought she knew about herself. She soon discovers that she and Sam are connected in more ways than either of them expected. And if they’re both going to survive, they must piece together the clues of their past before the Branch catches up to them and steals it all away.

Thoughts: This sounds like a good series. I’m not really sure that I actually know what it is about, but it has decent reviews, so I’ll give it a shot! Haha.

Value: $17.99

Total Value for Case: $35.98

Well, there was the December box!

This will actually be my last unboxing of this box.. I did decide to cancel this subscription after all. It is a good box, and the price is really great also, but I just feel like I can get these books much cheaper elsewhere since they are always older books. If they were new books, I would have definitely kept this one going, but I think I am just more interested in getting new releases right now.

But if that does not bother you, I definitely recommend this box! It is a good selection for an awesome price. So if you’d like to try this one out for yourself, head over to http://www.bookcase.club!

I hope you enjoyd my #BCCUnboxing! (:

Thanks for reading! (:
