Uppercase Unboxing – July 2016

Hello! I have another unboxing from July!

This is Uppercase Box!

Uppercase is a monthly book subscription. There are three different plans to choose from, but I subscribed to the Expert Box. Each Expert box (Or should I say bag) includes one brand new hardcover Young Adult book that is either signed by the author or comes with a signed bookplate, 1-2 exclusive and custom bookish items, and also a unique reading experience for each book.

The box is $23/month plus $6 shipping equaling $29/month!

 First look!

So far so good!

Let’s see what’s inside!

Custom Stamped Book Lover
Pencil Set (Uppercase Exclusive)

Thoughts: These are adorable!! The pictures does not do the pretty colors justice! They read (from red to orange, or from left to right) “I read YA”, “Read More, Sleep Less”, “Carpe Librium” (“Seize the book!” MY FAVE!), “#Booknerd”, and “Professional Bookworm”.

Ahh these are so cute! It makes me wish I was still in school to use them in public! hahaha.

Value: $5.99

Vintage Sticky Note Set by Galison

Thoughts: These are SO cute!! This is a set of 480 sticky notes! I will post a photo below this one of the inside of the portfolio also so that you can see the actual stickers.

I really love this! I love all things stationary and sticky notes are perfect to have! Plus the vintage theme is just adorable!

Value: $10.99

Inside portfolio.

From the left over.. The top left is a normal sized sticky note with the cute glasses.

Underneath the glasses, those are 4 different designs of the small tab sticky notes. Perfect for marking good places in books!

To the left of the glasses is another normal sized sticky with “Date Due” written on the top.

Underneath that one is another normal sized sticky with the telephone on it with graph paper.

The right is a large sticky with “To Do” written at the top, and the bottom reads “The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.” Very cute!!

This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab (SIGNED) + Exclusive Button

Summary:
There’s no such thing as safe in a city at war, a city overrun with monsters. In this dark urban fantasy from author Victoria Schwab, a young woman and a young man must choose whether to become heroes or villains—and friends or enemies—with the future of their home at stake. The first of two books.

Kate Harker and August Flynn are the heirs to a divided city—a city where the violence has begun to breed actual monsters. All Kate wants is to be as ruthless as her father, who lets the monsters roam free and makes the humans pay for his protection. All August wants is to be human, as good-hearted as his own father, to play a bigger role in protecting the innocent—but he’s one of the monsters. One who can steal a soul with a simple strain of music. When the chance arises to keep an eye on Kate, who’s just been kicked out of her sixth boarding school and returned home, August jumps at it. But Kate discovers August’s secret, and after a failed assassination attempt the pair must flee for their lives.

Thoughts: Well.. as you could tell, if you read my OwlCrate unboxing.. We got the same book, again. For the second month in a row.. It really is a bummer, but it happens I suppose, so it’s okay. But in their defense, this has only happened twice, and both subscriptions did post about it acknowledging it and offered a refund on half the cost of the book, so if you subscribe to each, one of the books was completely free. Which is a really generous offer. I truly love my book subscriptions and the people behind them. Both are super sweet and super helpful.

Also, I am currently reading this and loving it!! I plan to post a review once I’ve finished!

Value: $17.99

 Reading Experience

As always, I wanted to include this photo!

I posted above in the description about each book having a unique reading experience and this is what that is!

The way this works, when you get to the page shown in the book, you go to the website listed for questions, polls, and videos that correspond to that part in the book! Very fun! I really like this!

Total Value for this Box: $34.97!

This was a really good bag! I love the sticky notes! And the book is already so good! Can’t wait for August’s!

If you are interested in this subscription, head over to www.uppercasebox.com and sign up! Sadly, there are no longer spots for the August box, BUT the September box is on sale now. So subscribe!! (:

I hope you enjoyed my #Uppercase unboxing!

Thanks for reading! (:
