Coffee. And. Books. Let’s do this!
Question #1: Black: Name a series that’s tough to get into but has hardcore fans.
For this, I’m going to go with the Game of Thrones, or A Song of Ice and Fire series by George R. R. Martin. I admit that I have watched some of the show. I think that I got like two seasons in, and I will eventually go back to it and catch up, but these books, man. They are just entirely too big and dense and intimidating. The fans are definitely hardcore. I will watch the show, but I can almost guarantee I will never read the books.
Question #2: Peppermint mocha: Name a book that gets more popular during the winter or a festive time of year.
I have to be cliche and go with Harry Potter. It is just true! I always feel drawn to read Harry Potter in the fall and winter months around the holidays!
Question #3: Hot chocolate: What is your favorite children’s book?
I’m going to go with the A Series of Unfortunate Events series by Lemony Snicket. I haven’t read the entire series yet as an adult, but I read most of them as a child and loved them. I was going to say Harry Potter again, but I figured I should pick something else, so I choose these.
Question #4: Double shot of espresso: Name a book that kept you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.
Easy. I have to choose ACOWAR (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #3) by Sarah J. Maas for this because I was literally nervous and on edge for most of this book. It was incredible!
Question #5: Starbucks: Name a book you see everywhere.
For this question, I am going to choose Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake. I feel like this book is always being talked about, and it was a highly anticipated release for me last year, and I really am annoyed that I haven’t read it yet.
Question #6: That hipster coffee shop: Give a book by an indie author a shoutout.
I actually have not read much from indie or self published authors recently, except I did just read This Really Happened by Annmarie McQueen and really enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend checking this one out!
Question #7: Oops! I accidentally got decaf: Name a book you were expecting more from.
I don’t feel like this one needs much explanation. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child was just highly disappointing for me. I expected so much more, and was let down a lot. Boo. I have heard the actual play is very good. Maybe it just translated really poorly on paper?
Question #8: The perfect blend: Name a book or series that was both bitter and sweet but ultimately satisfying.
I chose The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer for this. I loved this series so much. It had highs and lows. More highs than lows, thankfully. It was just so good. I highly recommend this series!
Okay, that is it for this tag! I hope you guys enjoyed. Feel free to do this one if you are interested!
Thanks for reading! (:
