Tag Tuesday: Reader Problems Book Tag

Hi and Happy Tag Tuesday!

Tag Tuesday is a day I decided to start for fun on my blog where I can pick a book tag, any book tag, and do it on Tuesdays! There is no rhyme or reason behind the tags I decide to choose. Whatever catches my eye, I go for it!

This tag was originally created by About To Read.

Question #1: You have 20,000 books on your TBR. How in the world do you decide what to read next?

I am very much so a mood reader. So if there are a ton of books I really want to read, I’ll pick up 2 or 3 and read the back and see what fits my mood!

Question #2: You’re halfway through a book and you’re just not loving it. Do you quit or are you committed?

It depends. If it is so horrible that I’m forcing myself to read it, I quit. Because otherwise, I’d end up in a slump. If it is just small things that are bothering me, but the overall book is okay, I usually finish!

Question #3: The end of the year is coming and you’re so close, but so far away on your Goodreads reading challenge. Do you try to catch up and how?

I try to catch up for sure! I may read shorter books, or just try to set aside some extra reading time, but I for sure try to catch up.

Question #4: The covers of a series you love do. not. match. How do you cope?

It doesn’t bother me terribly, UNLESS they change the covers mid-series to something ugly. Then I freak out. I cannot handle my covers not matching on my shelves. It drives me bananas. I will literally try to sell my old covers and buy all the new ones just so the whole series matches. Really.

Question #5: Every one and their mother loves a book you really don’t like. Who do you bond with over shared feelings?

Truthfully, if my best reading friends don’t love it, then them. If not, then Goodreads. Because there are always people that don’t love it on Goodreads! Haha.

Question #6: You’re reading a book and you are about to start crying in public. How do you deal?

Umm. Well, usually if I’m reading in a public place, it is usually a book store or a coffee shop, so I probably would just own it. I can’t help the feels, man.

Question #7: A sequel of a book you loved just came out, but you’ve forgotten a lot from the prior novel. Will you re-read the book? Skip the sequel? Try to find a synopsis on Goodreads? Cry in frustration?!?!?!?

It depends. If I LOVED the first book, I’ll re-read. If it is like multiple books in, I usually try to find a synopsis. This is why I really like to just wait until the entire series is out. I hateeee waiting on sequels!

Question #8: You do not want anyone. ANYONE. borrowing your books. How do you politely tell people nope when they ask?

I usually don’t offer to allow people to borrow my books. I wouldn’t be opposed to my closest friends or family borrowing my books, but some random acquaintance, I’d have to make up some excuse. Maybe that my sister had already asked or something, hahah!

Question #9: Reading ADD. You’ve picked up and put down 5 books in the last month. How do you get over your reading slump?

Ugh asdfghjkl reading slumps. I hate them. I keep trying to read. Or I turn to an all time favorite. Or I just take a break and take a few days to watch movies or Netflix.

Question #10: There are so many new books coming out that you’re dying to read! How many do you actually buy?

Ummmm…… all of them.

Question #11: After you’ve bought the new books you can’t wait to get to, how long do they sit on your shelf before you get to them?

Ummmmm….. Haha. Sometimes, I pick them up immediately, like it doesn’t even make it to my shelf. Sometimes, they collect dust. I can’t explain it. It really is a problem. BUT I love my library, so no shame.

Alright, there is the tag! If you are interested in this one, consider yourself tagged!

Thanks for reading! (:
