WWW Wednesday – 3/7/18

Happy WWW Wednesday!

WWW Wednesday is hosted by Sam on Taking on a World of Words. Anyone can participate by answering the three questions below and then posting a link to your post from your blog on Sam’s website, or just answer the questions on her post, if you do not have a blog.

The three questions (Ws) are:

1.) What are you currently reading?
2.) What did you recently finish reading?
3.) What do you think you’ll read next?

1. What are you currently reading?

34273236

Current read: I’m reading Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng.

Progress: I’m on page 22/338 (7%).

Thoughts so far: Well I’m only 22 pages in, so I don’t have any thoughts so far really. I started this just a bit ago, but from what I’ve read, I think it’ll be good. I’m enjoying the writing. I’ve heard nothing but good from this one, so I’m excited to read it!

2. What did you recently finish reading?

Recently finished: In the last week, I finished Love, Life, and the List by Kasie West, Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli (re-read), and A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L’Engle.

Thoughts:

Love, Life, and the List: This was so cute! I really enjoy the trope in this one, but I did feel really frustrated with the love interest towards the end. He just does some things that really aren’t cool. It was sort of addressed, but not to the point I thought it should have been. But overall, I thought the story as a whole was really good. The “finding your heart” concept was great, as well as the list to get there. Really cute! I really enjoyed it!

Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda: I re-read this to prepare for the movie coming out this month and I loved this even more the second time. So much so that I upped it to 5 stars because there is literally nothing wrong with it. Except Leah. Leah is still annoying. Haha. I am so excited for the movie!!

A Wrinkle in Time: This was such a strange little book. Haha. I liked it! It was very odd, but good. The ending was the best! I’m really looking forward to seeing the movie. I’m interested to see how they adapt this one!

Ratings:

Love, Life, and the List: 4/5 stars.

Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda: 5/5 stars.

A Wrinkle in Time: 3/5 stars.

3. What do you think you’ll read next?

Truthfully? Again, this week I don’t know. I have so many books I need to read and review, but I also have so many new releases that have come out/are coming out that I want to read. Ughhh the struggle. We will see!!

There’s my WWWs for this week!

What are yours?

Thanks for reading! (:

I hope you’ll enjoy Little Fires! It was one of the best books i’ve read this year, and actually even in the past year. 🙂 I loved the character dynamics and small town stuff a lot!

I know this is a little late but I thought I would throw my 2 cents in! I just finished The Secret Life of Mrs. London and let me tell you in the spirit of Women’s History month, go get this book!!! Scandal, sacrifice, feminism in its earliest days and s great love triangle. I found it here, http://www.rebecca-rosenberg.com. Her site was really interesting!
