Well, September lasted about 2 hours, so there’s that. Seriously, it went by so insanely fast. I didn’t read as much as I did in August, but I still had a decent month!
I read 4 total books and enjoyed all of them, so let’s talk about them!
Total pages read: 1,424
#1: The Husband’s Secret by Liane Moriarty
Thoughts: I really enjoyed this! I love Liane Moriarty’s writing style. There were no plot holes, and everything came together perfectly. It was easy to predict “The Husband’s Secret”, but I didn’t see some of the things that happened coming. I liked most of the characters. Some were pretty frustrating, and others were great. I rooted for and felt for lots of them. I really want to read all of her books!
Rating: I gave this 3.5/5 stars on Goodreads!
#2: The Towering Sky by Katharine McGee (The Thousandth Floor, #3)
Thoughts:I’m so sad this series is over, but I’m 100% happy with where all my little characters ended up! Loved this series so so much. So much drama and I loved every second hahaha. Definitely a fun series to read!
Rating: I gave this 4/5 stars on Goodreads!
Review: The Towering Sky
#3: Cubicleland: A Novel by Rook Winters
Thoughts: **I received a digital copy of this book for free from the author in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.**
I really enjoyed this! Think The Office, but more serious. The writing was great. The storyline was really good with a great flow. The characters were the best. So realistic and fun! I loved Luke and Connie and the friendship they had. The relationships between these coworkers were also really awesome, and I could relate to that for sure. I definitely recommend this book to anyone that loves a good underdog story!
Rating: I gave this 3.5/5 stars on Goodreads.
#4: Queens of Fennbirn by Kendare Blake (Three Dark Crowns, 0.5)
Thoughts: The Young Queens: (5/5 stars) I absolutely loved this story. It was so fun reading about the girls as they grew up. It felt so good to be back in this world!
The Oracle Queen: (4/5 stars) Also loved this story! I really loved Queen Elsabet. This story was not exactly what I thought it was going to be, but I’m sort of glad. It made me super sad. It was really interesting to read about a queen with the oracle gift since it is no longer allowed for a queen to have that gift.
Highly recommend this series! And I absolutely recommend these novellas!!
Rating: I gave this 4.5/5 stars on Goodreads!
