Well, I wish I could say I ended 2018 with a bang, but that would be a big, sad story. Hahaha. I only read two books in December, but I’ve been super busy with my move coming up, so I blame it on that. I did finish my Goodreads goal of 52 books for the year though, so I’m not that upset about it! (:
Total pages read: 1,009
Total pages read in 2018 (according to Goodreads): 19,208
1. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J. K. Rowling (HP, #4)
Thoughts: This was a reread, and I loved it all over again. I forgot how different the book is from the movie. There are SO many things left out, it kind of makes me sad. But still, a fun story. Except for the end. I still hate the end. My heart can’t take it.
Rating: Obviously, 5/5 stars on Goodreads!
2. Uninvited: Living Loved When You Feel Less Than, Left Out, and Lonely by Lysa TerKeurst
Thoughts: I read this one over the last few months, and loved it. This book hit HARD. It always said exactly what I needed to hear exactly when I needed to hear it. We all experience difficult days, sometimes we experience difficult seasons, but it is so so important to remember that even when you feel less than, left out, or lonely, “God is good. God is good to me. God is good at being God.” ❤
Highly, highly recommend!
Rating: I gave this 5/5 stars on Goodreads!
Those are my only two books I finished, but I’m okay with the way my year of reading ended! (:
