WWW Wednesday – 10/2/19

Happy WWW Wednesday!

WWW Wednesday is hosted by Sam on Taking on a World of Words. Anyone can participate by answering the three questions below and then posting a link to your post from your blog on Sam’s website, or just answer the questions on her post, if you do not have a blog.

The three questions (Ws) are:

1.) What are you currently reading?
2.) What did you recently finish reading?
3.) What do you think you’ll read next?

1. What are you currently reading?

Current reads: Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas (Throne of Glass, #3) and Autumn Nights: 13 Spooky Fall Reads by Cass Kim

Progress: I’m on page 200/565 (35%) of Heir of Fire, and I just started Autumn Nights this afternoon. I read the first short story, so I think I’m about 30 pages in.

Thoughts so far: I’m enjoying Heir of Fire. It isn’t as good as the first two so far, it has been suuuuper slow. But I’m hoping it’ll pick up!

I really liked the first story of Autumn Nights! It is a review book I received, so I think I’m going to take my time and read a story every day or so to get into the spooky spirit!

2. What did you recently finish?

Recently finished: This week, I finished Someone We Know by Shari Lapena.

Thoughts: I thought this was a pretty solid mystery. It was a sticky web of lies, and I loved it! It kept me flipping pages. I definitely recommend this one!

Rating: 4/5 stars

3. What do you think you’ll read next?

Next read: Honestly, I’m not sure. I want to read some spooky stuff this month,  so despite the insanely hot temperatures still here in Alabama, I think I’m going to pick up The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson next to get me in the fall spirit. I loved the series, so I’m looking forward to reading the book. Also, can we talk about how fun this Penguin Horror edition is?!

Okay, there’s my WWWs for this week! What’s yours?

Thanks for reading! (:
